The name of our house,
GREEN PEACE, is not to be confused with the
international Greenpeace environmental organization. Instead,
our house name was chosen as a play on the words "Green
Peas" which we feel symbolize the spirit of our house.
Just as the inside of a pea pod has many peas of different shapes,
sizes, and colors, so too does Green Peace have within it people
of many different nationalities and backgrounds, many who have
lived here in the past and who often return to stay again. Secondly,
the word "Green" is used in reference to "Nature",
and "Peace" is, of course, in reference to "Harmony".
Thus we seek friends of all nationalities who love both nature
and peace. We look forward to seeing you in Tokyo! . |
